Applications are invited from interested and highly motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). in a time bound research project for a temporary period purely on a contractual basis in a SERB Project entitled: “Understanding the role of nuclear membrane associated proteins under differential flow dynamics driving EMT and survival of tumor cells” under the investigators Dr. Sudeshna Mukherjee (Biological Sciences), Dr. Venkatesh KP Rao (Mechanical Engineering), and Dr. Suvanjan Bhattacharya for a tenure of 3 years.
Essential qualifications include First class in Master's Degree with specialization in Mechanical Engineering/ Biomedical Engineering/ Biotechnology/Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Computer/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized University with good knowledge of dynamics and MEMS and microfluidics + GATE/NET/GPAT/DST/DBT/ICMR qualified will be preferred.
Candidates willing to work in interdisciplinary areas are preferred and desirable. Fellowship: 31,000/-(initially first two years) + Rs 35,000 (afterward till the end of the project). The candidate will study the effect of differential flow on cancer cell metastasis.
He/she will also write research papers in indexed journals, conferences, and patents. Selected candidates will be given the opportunity for a full time Ph.D. program at BITS, Pilani as per the institute norms.
