There is an opening for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in my lab at Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Kolkata.
The project is proposed to improve the quality of the rice grains by eliminating or significantly reducing the content of grain arsenic content upon cultivation in a region where soil and water are pullulated by this toxic metalloid. Successful candidates will be exposed to molecular biology, plant genetic engineering, and plant tissue culture.
The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years. The position is co-terminus with the project.
M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.E. in any branch of Biological Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Bioprocess Engineering with 60% marks or Equivalent grade from a UGC-recognized University with a valid CSIR/UGC NET or GATE score card.
