IITK & KGMU SIB-SHInE Biodesign Program to nurture Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Healthcare Technology | Rs. 60K per Month

Greetings from SIIC IIT Kanpur,

 

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur in association with King George’s Medical University, Lucknow is introducing the Second Cohort of an interdisciplinary program— SIB-SHInE Biodesign Program a dedicated fellowship to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship in healthcare technology.

 

Supported by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), the program welcomes individuals passionate about creating transformative solutions to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

 

The program provides a unique opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs, engineers, designers, and clinicians nationwide to collaborate and develop innovative solutions to address healthcare challenges.

Individuals from diverse backgrounds, including engineering, medicine, life sciences, design, and business administration are eligible to apply. 

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

1) Applicants should hold a graduate or higher degree in one of the following fields: Medicine (including BDS), Engineering, Biomedical Instrumentation, Product/Industrial Design, or Business Administration.

2) Applicants must be committed to dedicating a full-time 12-month period to the fellowship program, which will entail travel to partner universities and institutions.

1.    Converting Idea to a Product

2.    Patent of the developed technology

3.    Opportunity to learn from the mentors of IIT Kanpur and King George's Medical University (KGMU)

4.    Access to lab facilities of IIT Kanpur and KGMU Lucknow

5.    Fellowship of 60k for 12 months

6.    Platform to connect to the Industries 

7.    Bootcamps and training sessions on Biodesign, Business, and Innovation aspects.
