Inviting applications for Project Position

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up purely temporary position of one Project Associate-I in the SERB project entitled “Construction and functional testing of genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 library for genome-editing of seed specific genes in Indica Rice”, under the supervision of Dr. Hasthi Ram, Scientist, NIPGR. The details are as under: 

Project Associate-I (one post): 

Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms and as sanctioned in the project. 

Qualification: Candidates having Master’s degree in any branch of Biological/Life Sciences with at least 70% (or equivalent) marks or an equivalent degree in any branch of Biological/Life Sciences and fulfill the guidelines/norms of DST (SERB) are eligible to apply. 

Candidate with experience of working with molecular biology techniques in rice and/or plant tissue culture techniques will be given preference. 

The upper age limit for PA-I is 35 years. The above position is completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. 

The fellowship/emolument amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms. The appointment in the project will be till the tenability of the project ie. up to 26/05/2024, and the same can be curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance and discretionof the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR. Candidates applying with incomplete information will not be considered for an interview. Additionally, the candidate must use exactly the same name in the Google form as it is in the Certificate and application. Only Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview. A web interview will be conducted. A link with the date and time of the online interview will be e-mailed to the shortlisted candidates. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s). Note: ONLY soft copy of the application along with the qualification certificates (10th onwards) in the given google form will be accepted.
