Anna University Computational Biology/Bioinformatics Project Opening

Applications are invited from eligible candidates as Project Associate I [2 Posts] in the DBT, GOI sponsored project entitled “National Network Project, Department of Biotechnology, Anna university, Chennai.” Sanctioned to Dr.B.S.Lakshmi, Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Anna University, Chennai-25 for a period of one year, extendable based on performance till the end of the project. 

Key Responsibilities: Conducting research activities in line with the objectives of the National Network Project mainly in the computational analysis of various DPI and PPI involved and invitro studies in diabesity, Collaborating with team members to achieve project milestones. Preparing reports, presentations, and publications to disseminate research findings, In addition, they may be assigned any suitable task by the PI of the Project. 

Essential Qualification M.Tech/M.E in Computational Biology / Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology / Biopharmaceutical Technology OR M.Sc in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Biotechnology/ Structural Biology from a recognized Institute / University. Desirable experience in Computational Biology / Bioinformatics / Computer Aided Drug Discovery research/Programming

Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) A Selection process through National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions. (ii) 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Eligible Candidates will be called for interview after shortlisting based on Experience & Qualification. The actual date and time for interview will be informed only to the eligible candidates by email. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
