Inviting applications for Project Position

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Junior Research Fellow
in the SERB-EMEQ project entitled “Identification and functional characterization of auxin transporters during pathogen
responses through MAP Kinases” under the supervision of Dr. Pawan Kumar Jewaria, Scientist, NIPGR.
Junior Research Fellow (One Post):
Emoluments `. 31000/- plus 24% HRA per month as sanctioned in the project.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates having a Master’s Degree in Plant
Biology/Botany/ Genetics/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Agricultural /Life Sciences with at least 55% (or equivalent) and
fulfilling the DST/DBT guidelines and norms are eligible to apply.
Desirable Criteria: Previous knowledge of Arabidopsis handling and transforming will be preferred. The project
work requires skill of Confocal Microscopy, Genetic crossing and Molecular Biology Techniques.
The above position is completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship/emolument
amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the
tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the
candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority.
NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate
against the above post depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as
per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated any time by giving one month notice by either side. The
applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

of the certificates and proof of research experience. Incomplete application and lack of supporting educational/experience
certificates will be rejected. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not
be interviewed. Candidate may submit separate applications, if applying for both the positions.
Last date of application is on or before the 15 days after release of advertisement at NIPGR website. Interview link will
only be sent to shortlisted candidates.
