Project : “Elucidating the role of RNA dependent RNA Polymerase 1 in promoting host recovery from geminivirus infection”

Position Available: Scientific Administrative Assistant/ Field Worker (One)

Salary : - @18000/- per month plus HRA (as per DBT rules and guidelines for SAA/FW).

Essential Qualifications : Graduate degree in any discipline.

Desirable Qualifications : Experience of working in a laboratory set up having expertise in handling laboratory equipments, maintaining plant growth facilities in green house and in tissue culture laboratory, maintaining laboratory facilities, keeping official records, knowledge of GOI purchase procedures.

Duration: The Project will continue till October 2026. The above-mentioned positions are completely temporary and are co-terminus with the project. Appointed persons will be expected to stay in the lab for the entire period of the project.

General information:- The competent authority may select candidate in the lower position against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate and reserves the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee.

Job Description Proficiency in Gene cloning, Mutagensis, Protein expression in E. coli & Yeast system, protein refolding & purification, Crystallization & X-ray structure analysis, Modeling & Dynamics simulation work. Candidate with prior strong
experience in these techniques will be preferred.

Essential Qualification As per CSIR Guidelines for Research Scheme/Sponsored Schemes/ Emeritus Scientist Pl. M.S./M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. and UGC-NET-equivalent with 55% marks passing of JRF/LS test

Age Limit JRF-28Yrs.

Age relaxation The upper age limit is relaxable up-to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/ tribes/ OBC, women and h sicall handicaed candidates.

Fellowship Junior Research Fellow (JRF)- Rs. 31,000/-p.m, in the first &Second years 35,000/- in 3 rd upon upgradation.

Position:  Research Associate I (RA-I)

Project title: “SARS-CoV-2 spike protein S1 subunit in muscle atrophy and neuromuscular junction program in type-2 diabetes: A molecular approach to understand the neuromuscular complications in COVID-19 in comorbid conditions”

Salary: - As per DST/MoE-STAR rules and guidelines for RA-I.

Essential Qualifications: Ph. D in Life Sciences or any branch of Life Sciences / Biotechnology.

Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in the area of molecular biology (cloning and expression), gene expression (RT-PCR and immuno-blotting), cell signaling, animal tissue culture, animal handling and genome editing with at least one publication in peer-reviewed SCI/SCOPUS journals.

Duration: The Project will continue till March 2026. The above-mentioned positions are completely temporary and are co-terminus with the project. However, the fellow can be terminated anytime (immediately) if unsatisfactory progress or any scientific misconduct observed. Appointed persons will be expected to stay in the lab for the entire period of the project.
