Inviting applications for Project Position

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Research Associate-I
in the SERB project entitled “Investigation of the role of AtSKIP31 – JAZ – ABI TFs module in integrating ABA – JA
signalling for the acquisition of seed desiccation tolerance and seed vigor in Arabidopsis thaliana”, under the supervision
of Dr. Manoj Majee, Scientist, NIPGR.
Emoluments 47000/- plus 24% HRA per month as sanctioned in the project.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates having a doctorate (Ph. D) degree in Life Sciences or equivalent with a good publication
record and fulfilling the DST/SERB guidelines (as per SERB OM Mo. SB/S9/Z-06/2019 dated 23/04/2019) are eligible
to apply.
Prior experience in seed biology, raising transgenics and genome editing lines (Arabidopsis/Rice), molecular
analysis of transgenic and genome-editing events is highly desirable.
The above position is completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship/emolument
amount for the above position are as sanctioned in the project.
The initial appointment will be for one year or till the
tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the
candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate
against the above post depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as
per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated any time by giving one month notice by either side. The
applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.
