Nature of Work, Duties and Responsibility’s:
1. To conduct genetic purity testing of seed samples through Electrophoresis, DNA finger printing. To conduct Seed
Health Testing through different methods, application of different Seed Health Testing Procedures, seed testing of
different agricultural/Horticultural crops for different seed quality parameters and testing of seed samples
collected/purchased from market for different seed quality parameters.
2. Making all arrangements including practical session, conducting different HRD activities (National/International
training, Workshop, Seminar and Symposium etc.) on different seed related issues.
3. Handling and maintenance of all equipments related to DNA testing, Seed Health Testing and Seed Testing.
4. Preparation of seed testing reports, file management & record maintenance.
5. Any other work assigned by concerned competent authority.
The upper age limit is not exceeding 35 years on the last date of submission of application. Candidate appearing for
interview/examination for above position will not be entitled for TA/DA. The application format may be downloaded
