MS Clinical Embryology

MS course in clinical embryology offered by Andhra University in collaboration with Life Fertility and Research Centre (an Academic Initiative promoted by Life Institute of Fertility Sciences) imparts theoretical, practical understanding and knowledge of subjects like reproductive biology and embryology, infertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART). It is a stream of biology which mainly focuses on the study of fertilization of eggs and the developmental aspects of the embryos.

Collaborative Teaching Program
With Partnering Life Fertility and Research Centre, Andhra University aims to train the students with industry ready through a distinct program conceptualized with curriculum designed exclusively to work in fertility centers, internship program for live clinical experience, which prepares students as a trained embryologist with sound knowledge in reproductive biology, reproductive genetics and invitro fertilization technologies.

The Embryologist works behind the scenes to help with all the different stages of ivf from the retrieval of eggs to the development of an embryo and its transfer into the womb. Embryologists work hard in the lab to ensure the health development of embryos. They focus on reproductive assessments, fertility research and studying and improving fertility techniques. Due to increasing infertility cases in men and women, there is a huge demand of clinical embryologists and fertility experts globally. Students who graduate from these programmes have excellent job prospects both in India and abroad. The number of ivf centers are increasing at a rate of 20% per annum thus there will be good demand for trained embryologists.
Eligibility & Criteria
Postgraduate Course Requirements:
– The candidate must have passed: B.Pharm/ PharmD/ MBBS/ BDS/ BVSC/ BHMS/ BAMS/ BSc Nursing/ Engineering with Science (Biotechnology and Life Science related) any other Equiavalent BSc in Life Sciences (Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology) from a recognised university with 50% of marks in qualifying examination
– Provisional application is open to students awaiting final semester/year results, provided they submit previous semester/year marks cards.
Admission Process:
For Postgraduate Courses:
– MS In Clinical Embryology & Post Graduate Diploma In Invitro Fertilization Technology
– Admission Criteria encompass Marks secured in Qualifying Examinations, Entrance Exam, and Personal Interview.
– Entrance Exam content covers
basics in microscopy, microbiology, human anatomy and physiology related to human reproduction, cell division, chromosomes, genes etc…..
all questions are objective type and multiple choice
total marks: 100 (50 questions X 02 marks)
– Personal Interview evaluates candidates’ Subject Knowledge, Aptitude, Communication Skills, Attitude, and Overall Suitability.
