Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at Dept of Biological Sciences, Cancer Biology Lab, Birla institute of Technology and Science, BITS-Pilani Biological Sciences Department. Can be converted to a PhD position.

Project Title: Understanding the role of nuclear membrane associated proteins under differential flow dynamics driving EMT and survival of tumor cells
Investigators: Dr. Sudeshna Mukherjee (Biological Sciences), Dr. Venkatesh KP Rao (Mechanical Engineering), and Dr. Suvanjan Bhattacharya (Mechanical Engineering)
Project Tenure: 3 years
Job Description: The candidate will study the effect of differential flow on cancer cell metastasis. He/she will also write research papers in indexed journals, conferences, and patents.
Essential Qualification: First class in Master's Degree with specialization in Cancer Biology/ Epigenetics/ Molecular Biology/ Cell Biology/ Biomedical Engineering/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from a recognized University + GATE/NET/GPAT/DST/DBT/ICMR qualified will be preferred.
Candidates willing to work in interdisciplinary areas and computational knowledge are preferred and desirable.
Fellowship: 31,000/-(initially first two years) + Rs 35,000 (afterward till the end of the project).
Registration for PhD.: Selected candidates will be given the opportunity for a full time Ph.D. program at BITS, Pilani as per the institute norms.
