IIT-H Fluorescence Microscopy Research Associate Opening


Advertisement for the post of Research Associate II (Fluorescence Microscopy) 

IIT Hyderabad is establishing a national facility for the Single-Molecule and Super-Resolution Imaging, funded by DBT-SAHAJ. 

Applications are invited from candidates (Ph.D. holders) with excellent academic records and thorough experience in fluorescence/confocal microscopy. Title of the project National Facility for Single-Molecule and Super-Resolution Imaging 

Description of the job Cell culture for imaging, sample preparation and imaging samples from the users, training users for their imaging applications, supporting users with image analysis and data visualization, manuscript preparation, overall operations of the facility, and conducting workshops and training programs 

Duration of the position 5 years (initial appointment is for 1 year only, but it can be extended for the next 4 years depending on performance) 

Remuneration Rs. 61,000 + 24% HRA per month 

Eligibility Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences Minimum 2 years of experience with fluorescence microscopy/confocal microscopy for imaging biological samples. 

Published evidence of microscopy data is essential. 

Age Limit 40 years

Selection procedure 

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their academic records and experience in fluorescence microscopy. Only short-listed candidates will be intimated via email for the online interview.

The PI reserves the right to leave the position vacant if no suitable candidate is found.
