Walk-in-Interview on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 02:30 p.m. onwards for the post of one Project
Scientist-I.
Candidates are invited to appear before selection committee in the walk-in-interview for filling up the purely
temporary position of one Project Scientist-I in the DBT Multi-institutional project entitled “Germplasm
Characterization and Trait Discovery in Wheat using Genomics Approaches and its Integration for Improving Climate Resilience,
Productivity and Nutritional quality" under mission programme of "Characterisation of Genetic Resources”, Sub Project- l:
“Germplasm genomics for trait discovery”, of Dr. Manoj Prasad, Scientist, NIPGR.
Project Scientist-I (one Post):
Emoluments Rs. 56000/- plus HRA per month as sanctioned in the
project.
Upper age limit: 35 years.
Qualification: Candidates having M.Tech (Engineering or Technology or Ph.D. degree (awarded) in Life
Science/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Plant Molecular Biology or any other related field and fulfilling the
guidelines/norms of DST OM SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible for interview.
The candidate
should have an excellent academic record (with minimum of 60% marks throughout their education) and
research experience. Candidate having publications in the journals of international repute are desirable.
Candidate having research experience in plant genetics and breeding will be given preference.
The above position is completely on temporary basis.
The appointment will be till the tenability of the project
i.e. up to February 28, 2025 and the same can be curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate's
performance and discretion of the Competent Authority.
NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate
against the above post depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts
shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated any time by giving on month notice
by either side.
The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position
of NIPGR.
Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR),
Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on August 19, 2024 (Monday) at 02:30 p.m. along with the duly filled
in application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form along with the educational
certificate must be submitted at the time of registration at NIPGR from 02:00 p.m. to 02:30 p.m. on August
19, 2024. Any candidate reporting after 02:00 p.m. will not be entertained for walk-in-interview.
The candidate
must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates
are requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data, Ph.D thesis, publications and original
degree/experience certificates and transcripts. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or
otherwise, will lead to disqualification of the candidate(s).
Note: Incomplete application and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected. No TA/DA
