POSITION DETAILS:
Position: Program Manager - Business Development;
Number of Positions: 01
Location: BioNEST Facility, North-Eastern Hill University, Tura Campus, Meghalaya
Nature of Position: This is a purely temporary position with the possibility of extension based on performance. Appointments will be co-terminus with the project's expiry. There is no implicit or explicit claim for permanent absorption into the University.
Age Limit: Below 35 years (as of the date of advertisement)
Salary: As per BIRAC, DBT, Government of India norms
About the Role: The BioNEST Facility at NEHU is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Program Manager - Business Development to lead and support our entrepreneurial initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of innovation, business strategy, and biotechnology, driving forward the success of our startups and incubatees.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
•Master’s degree in Agriculture, Life Sciences, or a related field with a minimum of 02-03 years of relevant experience; OR
•
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Life Sciences or a related field with an MBA (Agribusiness Management/Business Analytics/Rural Management) from a reputed institute with a minimum of 01 year of relevant experience.
•Proven, documented work experience in Industry, Startups, or Incubation Centers, particularly in sectors like Agriculture, Biotechnology, Technology, or Services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
▪Mentoring and Business Development: Guide and mentor startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators in crafting business plans and scaling their ventures.
▪Event Planning: Organize business development events, fostering collaborations, technology tie-ups, and capacity-building initiatives.
▪Resource Mobilization: Secure resources to support startups and create sustainable value chains within the incubation ecosystem.
▪Market Access: Assist startups in accessing markets for their products, technologies, and services.
▪Proposal Writing & Fundraising: Support incubatees in crafting proposals, preparing pitch decks, and connecting with investors and strategic partners.
▪Networking & Partnerships: Build a strong network of innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, and government agencies to enhance the program.
▪Incubation Services: Develop and introduce new initiatives for incubation services that cater to entrepreneurs' needs.
▪Marketing & Branding: Elevate the brand equity of the BioNEST Incubator and promote the success of incubated startups through effective marketing strategies.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Meeting the minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee an interview. Only shortlisted candidates by a duly constituted Screening Committee will be contacted. If a large number of applications are received, the Screening Committee may limit the number of candidates called for an interview. The decision of the Committee will be final, and no interim inquiries will be entertained.
