Announcement of Admissions to Academic Year 2024-2025

ADMISSIONS TO FULLTIME Ph.D. PROGRAMME 2024-25 (Batch I)

Enhancing opportunities for higher education, Opening up and increasing Ph.D. seats in SBV Pondicherry and SBV Chennai.

Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University) Pondicherry is making a special drive to admit One Hundred (100) Full-time Ph.D. scholars in the constituent institutions of SBV Pondicherry and SBV Chennai.

Eligibility:
a. Postgraduate degree from any recognized University in any one of the subjects:

• Faculty of Medicine: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology & Pharmacology.
• Faculty of Science: Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Nano Sciences.
• Faculty of Nursing: Any branch in M.Sc. Nursing (with 3 years teaching or Clinical experience after M.Sc.Nursing, as per the norms of Indian Nursing Council) 
• Faculty of Pharmacy: M.Pharm. in any branch or Pharm D.
• Faculty of Allied Health Sciences: M.Sc. in any branch
• Faculty of Biomedical Sciences: M.Sc.
• Physiotherapy: M.P.T.
• Yoga therapy: M.Sc. Yoga therapy
• Multi-Disciplinary Research: M.Sc.

b. 4 year/8-Semester Bachelor’s degree programme from an institution recognised by UGC (75% marks in aggregate or equivalent GPA)
c. MBBS/BDS recognised by Regulatory body (60% marks in aggregate or equivalent GPA)

Scholarship:

Shri MVK Iyer Junior Research Fellow scholarship @ Rs. 20,000/per month for a period of Three years will be provided for all Full time Scholars.

Fee concession:

• 50% concession for Annual Ph.D. Tuition fees (to pay Rs. 20, 000/-year).
• 50% concession for Ph.D. Synopsis Submission (to pay Rs. 5000/-) and
• 50% concession during Ph.D. Thesis submission (to pay Rs. 20,000/-)

Steps to Apply:

1. Goto https://application.sbvu.ac.in/ and register yourself with email id and password.
2. Log in with your credentials and click “Start New Application”
3. Select “Click here to Apply for Doctoral Programme (Ph.D) at SBV” to start the application form and fill the details.
4. Upload the Certificates and make the payment of application fees Rs. 500/-

Note: We will consider the application only if you complete the payment process. You can also see status of payment and verification in your dashboard. Payment status will be reflected immediately and verification status will be reflected within 24 hours.

Timeline

The applicants can apply through the online portal https://application.sbvu.ac.in/. Last date for applying is Saturday 26^th October 2024 (26/10/2024). Kindly have the soft copies of the Certificates and Passport Size Photo before initiating the application form.

•  The applicants must physically appear for the entrance test (MCQs) on Research Methodology and Biostatistics on Wednesday 06^th November 2024 (06/11/2024) from 9.30am -11 am, followed by interview from 2.00 pm onwards at SBV Pondicherry Campus.
• Certificate and documents verification for selected candidates followed by the commencement of classes on Thursday 07th November 2024 (07/11/2024) from 9.00 am onwards.

Payment of First year Ph.D. Tuition fees: A demand Draft for Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty thousand only) drawn in favour of SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH, and payable at Pondicherry, must be submitted by the selected candidates before 4 pm on the same day (07/11/2024).
