Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one
Project Associate-I (PA-I) in the scheme of “Short-Term Research Fellowship”, NIPGR under the
supervision of Dr. Shiv Kumar Meena, Scientist, NIPGR. Emoluments will be at par with similar
fellowships by DBT/DST and NIPGR fellowship norms.
Upper age limit: 35 years
Eligibility: Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned in the DST-OM SR/S9/Z05/2019
dated July 10, 2020 and having a M. Sc. degree (with minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA) in
Biotechnology are eligible.
Desirable Qualification: Candidates must have previous experience (during M. Sc./after M.Sc.) in the
analysis of chromatin remodelers in plants, genotyping of T-DNA mutants, higher order mutant
generation, phenotyping. Familiarity with cloning, bioinformatics tools for example Geneious Prime.
Project description: The project will involve investigating the in-planta role(s) of plant chromatin
remodelers in stress and development.
The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the scheme. The initial appointment will be for
one year, which can be extended/curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance
and discretion of the Competent Authority.
NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidates against
the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidates.
Reservation of post
shall be as per Government of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving
one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration
against any regular position of NIPGR.

This will
be an offline interview, and candidates will have to appear before the selection committee at NIPGR,
New Delhi. All candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not
be shortlisted for interview.
