2nd Hands-on Workshop & training on Molecular Detection and Genomic Characterization of Viruses of Public Health

10th – 13th March, 2025

Venue – Regional VRDL, ICMR-RMRC, Bhubaneswar The Regional Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at ICMR Regional Medical Research Centre will conduct “2nd Hands-on Workshop and Training on Molecular Detection and Genomic Characterization of Viruses of Public Health Importance” from 10th to 13th March 2025.

The course will provide hands-on training on different molecular techniques for detection and characterisation of viruses of public health importance and next generation sequencing protocols for virus genomic surveillance. The course is targeted towards microbiologists, research scientists, research associates, senior residents and PhD students working on virology, especially in a public health laboratory setting such as DPHL or VRDL or in a clinical virology laboratory setup. The 4-day workshop will include hands-on laboratory assays, bioinformatics analysis, didactic lectures, case scenarios and quizzes on the topic.
