The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (www.instem.res.in), Bangalore is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. iBRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at iBRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory. 

iBRIC-inStem invites applications (in online mode) from eligible candidates for contractual position of following Scientific position in the laboratory of Prof Minhajuddin Sirajuddin under inStem Core funds, DBT/WT India Alliance Senior Fellowship, InStem Bangalore. 

We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are excellent team players capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Research Associate I/II/III (Rs. 58,000/- + 27% - Rs.67,000/- pm HRA p/m) (based on research experience)

Essential Qualification: PhD in Life Sciences & 2 years of experience in research and development in academic institutions or Science and Technology organisations. 

Candidates with strong background in cell, molecular and/or development biology are encouraged to apply. 

Previous experience with microscopy is essential. 

Previous experience with animal handling will be an asset but not essential. 

Candidates must have demonstrated ability to work independently, have good organizational skills, work in an interdisciplinary team, and manage multiple tasks. 

They will also be responsible for data documentation, validation and compilation, for preparation of manuscripts.

Junior Research Fellow 

₹.37,000/m + HRA (Net Qualified) 

Age Limit – 35 Years 

Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Life Sciences/ MVSC or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognised university or equivalent. With at least 6 months of R&D experience in academic institution or relevant industry

Candidates with strong background in cell and molecular biology and protein biochemistry are encouraged to apply. 

Previous experience with microscopy or stem cells or high-content computational analysis will be an asset but not essential. 

Candidates are expected to have the ability to work independently, have good organizational skills, work in an interdisciplinary team, and manage multiple tasks. They will also be responsible for data documentation, validation and compilation, for preparation of manuscripts.

Tenure: Contractual appointment for 11 (Eleven) months. renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.
