Application is invited for the following purely temporary post in the project entitled "Specific strategies to target amyloidogenesis through natural compound-based nano formulations"

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)  :        One

Age  :        25-35 Years

Qualification :        M.Sc. in life sciences/biotechnology/or any biological science with NET qualified and Two-year research experience

Work Experience : Experience in protein aggregation and nanoformulations/ Animal cell culture/Structural bioinformatics/molecular biology techniques/protein expression and purification/ structural determination etc. with preferably two year work experience from reputed laboratory.

Salary : 35,0000+HRA p.m. (according to funding  agency and JNU norms)

Job Condition: The selected candidate will be appointed purely on temporary basis for a period of one year and extendable till the end of the project based on satisfactory performance.

Applications are invited for the following purely temporary post in the DBT funded project entitled "National Network Project of JNU, New Delhi" at the School of Computational & Integrative Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Project Associate-I (one post): Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology or related field. The candidate should have good academic record and a relevant research experience. Good computer skills with proven experience in different applications of NGS data analysis is highly desirable.

The positions are completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount/emoluments will be as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT rules. The initial appointment may be for six months or as per recommendation of the Selection Committee, which can be extended/curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. In case the performance is not satisfactory, the appointment is liable to be terminated at any time without any notice.

The eligible candidates may further be shortlisted based on the qualification/experience depending on the total number of applications received. JNU may select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate and reserves the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee.

Applications are invited for the following post in the DBT funded project entitled “Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics: Infrastructure, Education, Training and Research in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi” at the School of Computational & Integrative Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University. The position is purely temporary and will last as per the funds availability but at most until the current project lasts (expected to be February 2026 as of now). The selected candidates will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of six months, which may be extended further based on the performance evaluation and subject to the availability/ release of funds by the sponsoring body (DBT).

Project Associate-1:  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Computer Science) or Technology or Medicine or Master’s Degree in Natural Or Agricultural Sciences/ MVSc or from a recognized university or equivalent.

Desirable: Two years experience of Linux based high performance Systems administration and/ or developing Bioinformatics related software tools/ managing databases preferably with a proven record of software products in public domain.

The Project Associate will be responsible for helping SCIS faculty managing their Bioinformatics products, data analyses and managing the BIC-funded computing infrastructure. Salaries will be as per DBT guidelines from time to time (currently Rs @ 31,000+27% HRA per month)*.

Project 1: ICMR
Applications are invited on a plain paper for purely temporary positions for Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) in a project entitled "Targeted ultra-small mesoporous silica nanoparticles for receptor-mediated delivery of novel luminescent metallodrugs towards theranostics for targeting solid hypoxic tumour.” funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India New Delhi, India.

Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) (01)

Essential Qualification:
1. First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees in Biological Science or
2. Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees with Ph.D. in Biological Science.

Desirable Qualification: The candidate should have working experience for mammalian cell culture, western blotting, PCR and animal tumor models. The candidate is also desired to have knowledge/exposure to transcriptomics and proteomics of tumor samples and management of Research Project.

Salary: Rs. 56000/- + HRA p.m.

Maximum Age limit: - 35 years (Age relaxation will be in accordance with Government of India instructions)

Duration of the project: 03 Years

The selected candidate will be appointed on a purely temporary basis till the duration of the project (18/02/2028), which is extended yearly till the expiry of the project after satisfactory performance.

Project 2: AYUSH
Applications are invited on a plain paper for purely temporary position for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (One), in a project entitled "CoE on Ayurveda and Systems Medicine” under Ayurswasthya Yojana funded by Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, New Delhi, India.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (One Position)

Essential Qualification: Eligible candidates should have a Post Graduate Degree in Biological Sciences and CSIR/UGC/ICAR JRF/NET or GATE qualified.

Desirable Qualifications: The Candidate should have knowledge and/or experience in post-processing procedures (PBMCs isolation and analysis) of blood samples isolated from patients, PCR, Western Blot, ELISA, Histopathology Analysis, 2D & 3D Cell Culture, Animal Xenograft Model, Patient Derived Xenograft (PDX) etc.

Salary: Rs. 37000/- + HRA p.m.

Maximum Age limit: - 30 years (Age relaxation will be in accordance with Government of India instructions)

Duration of the project: The selected candidate will be appointed on a purely temporary basis till the duration of the project 07/05/2027. It is extended on yearly basis after satisfactory performance.
