Advertisement for the Post of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) in ICMR Sponsored Project
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) position for the below mentioned project funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The position is purely temporary in nature and co-terminus with the project. The period of employment may be initially for 01 year and renewed up to 03 years based on the satisfactory performance. 

The essential qualification & experience etc. required for the position have been mentioned below.

05. Essential Qualifications

First class post-graduate (PG) degree (including integrated PG degree) such as M.Sc/M.Pharm/M.Tech or Equivalent in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Medical Biochemistry /Biochemistry/ Immunology.

Second class post-graduate degree in aforementioned disciplines with Ph.D.

Aforementioned qualification(s) must be from the recognized Board/ University/Institute.

06. Desirable Qualifications

 Hands-on experience in microbiology, including in vitro techniques such as mammalian cell culture, and proficiency in in vivo rodent handling and experimentation, as well as molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
 Practical experience in DNA extraction from clinical samples, along with library preparation and sequencing using personal sequencers.
 Knowledge and experience in analyzing metagenomics and/or biological high-throughput data.
 Qualified in GATE/CSIR-UGC-NET/ICMR-JRF, including lectureship or an equivalent examination.
 Involvement in any other work related to the project or as assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI).

07. Age Limit

Not more than 35 years as of 15-05-2025.

08. Remuneration Rs. 56,000/-+ 10 % HRA= Rs.61,600/-

09. Relaxation on Qualification and age SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PWD candidates will get relaxation as per Govt. of India Rules.

10. Date of Interview The shortlisted candidates will be informed by e-mail about the interview date. The interview will be conducted online.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. The selected candidate will be placed at the MNR Foundation for Research & Innovations, MNR Medical College & Hospital, MNR University, Sangareddy, Telangana.
2. The initial contract is for one year and is purely temporary. It may be extended for up to three additional years based on satisfactory performance.
3. The contract includes a two-month notice period. If the selected candidate wishes to discontinue their involvement in the project, they must inform the Principal Investigator (PI) two months in advance.
4. Candidates selected for the interview will be notified via email by Dr. V.V. Ramprasad Eedara, or the information will be posted on the institute's webpage.
