The Cochin University of Science and Technology invites applications in the prescribed format to fill up the vacant teaching position in the National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health on contract basis as detailed below:

4. Subject : Marine Biotechnology 

5. Essential Qualifications : M.Tech with 1st Class in Marine Biotechnology OR 
1. M.Sc in Marine Biology/Marine Biotechnology/ Environmental Sciences/ Environmental Studies/ Environmental Technology with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade of B with 7 point scale with letter grade O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's degree level from an Indian University or equivalent degree from a foreign University. 
2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) by the UGC, CSIR or an accredited test (State Level Eligibility Test SLET/SET). Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of M.Phil/PhD Degree)Regulatiuon, 2009, or Regulation 2016, and their subsequent amendments from time to time, as the case may be, shall be exempted from the requirement of the Page 1 of 3 minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET. 
The Clearing of NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for candidates in such disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET has not been conducted. (The essential Qualifications shall be in compliance with the UGC Regulations 2018).

8. Consolidated salary per month : ₹40,000/- per month Those with Ph.D - ₹42,000 /- per month 

9. Period of appointment : Initially for a period of one year with break during vacation months of May and June on contract basis or till regular recruits join duty, whichever is earlier.

The hard copy of the application in the prescribed format as available in the website, strictly adhering to the terms/regulations mentioned in the notification should reach the office of the Registrar before the last date prescribed along with the following enclosures:- 

1. Self-attested copies of all documents in proof of claim made in the application such as Qualification, Date of Birth, Reservation research Publications, experience etc. 
2. Bio-data. Applications submitted not in the prescribed format or received after the last date prescribed will be summarily rejected. Claims made in the application without supporting documents will not be considered. Claims which are not mentioned in the original application submitted will not be considered at any later stage of application processing. Application fee is not refundable.
