Position Title: Senior Scientific Officer/ Scientific Officer
Reporting To: Section Head-QC Microbiology
Qualification: BTech/MSc (Biotechnology/Microbiology)
Experience : 3-7 Years
Location of work: Lalru, Punjab
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Receive ARM and other samples from production and maintain records.
2. Collect water samples from different production blocks for QC testing.
3. Perform environmental monitoring in manufacturing, QC, and warehouse classified areas.
4. Monitor and record RH, temperature, and differential pressure in microbiology labs.
5. Prepare trends for classified areas and maintain relevant records.
6. Conduct process validations and maintain documentation.
7. Qualify and validate microbiology lab equipment.
8. Prepare and review product specifications and standard test procedures.
9. Review logs for media preparation, environmental monitoring, critical utilities, and in-process testing.
10. File deviations, incidents, OOS/OOL/OOT when required.
11. Issue Batch Release Certificates for environmental and critical utilities.
12. Follow all safety precautions during analysis.
13. Maintain lab inventory and ensure smooth functioning of equipment. 1
14. Report any excursions to HOD – QC.
Competencies & Skills Required
1. Ability to accurately detect and quantify biomolecules (antigens or antibodies) using ELISA techniques, ensuring high sensitivity and specificity. Proficient in sample preparation, plate coating, reagent handling, and reading results with precision instruments.
2. Strong understanding of protein separation, transfer, and detection techniques for protein analysis. Skilled in running gel electrophoresis, protein transfer to membranes, antibody incubation, and result interpretation.
3. Hands-on experience in performing Spectrophotometer, auto pipettes, pH meter, Incubator etc, Western Blotting
4. Capable of preparing, reviewing, and managing deviations, OOS/OOT, CAPA, and change control records.
5. Applies GLP and ALCOA++ principles in maintaining accurate, complete, and verifiable records.
