ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE FOR THE POST OF GUEST FACULTY (01)
Applications are invited for appointment of Guest faculty (01) in the Department of Zoology,
P.U., Chandigarh, for odd semester of the academic session 2025-2026.
Essential Qualifications:
(i) M.Sc. in Zoology from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited
foreign University with good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at
least 55% of the marks (50% in case of SC/ST/OBC/ Physically & Visually handicapped) or
an equivalent grade in a point wherever grading system is followed at Master’s degree level.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National
Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR. However, the candidates, who
are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants
Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations,
2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET
for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in
Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions.
Honorarium:
The appointment of Guest Faculty is on lecture basis with token honorarium of Rs. 1500/- per
lecture with an upper limit of Rs. 50,000/- per month.
The candidates shall have to give an
undertaking that he/she will not draw any fellowship/stipend or any financial assistance from
any agency and will do the same till that are teaching in the Department of Zoology, P.U.,
Chandigarh.

The applications supported by relevant testimonials must reach the office of
Department of Zoology, P.U., Chandigarh by September 8, 2025 till 5:00 p.m by
hand or through post.
The interview for the post will be held in the office of the Chairperson, Department of
Zoology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The date and time of the interview will be
intimated to the shortlisted candidates by e-mail. The applicants are advised to bring
their original certificates and other relevant documents for verification at the time of
interview.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
