Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate–I under a project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India, through the Prime Minister’s Early Career Research Grant (PM ECRG) scheme, as per the details given below: 

Title of the project: “Sustainable Remediation of Heavy Metal Contaminated Soil with Plant Growth Promoting Bacteria and Napier Grass: Molecular Mechanisms and Biotechnological Approaches”

Age as of last date of application: Maximum 30 years* (as on 30-10-2025)
*Age relaxation for 5yrs for SC/ST/ Physically Handicapped

Qualifications/ Experience: 

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent.

Desirable Qualification:

a) Hands on experience with microbiology and molecular biology techniques; plant-microbe interaction experiments; biomass valorization, etc.
b) Experience in R&D in academic institutions or industry etc.
c) JRF-NET qualified    

Fellowship per month (Consolidated): (i) ₹ 37,000/- + HRA per month for candidates qualified in CSIR-UGCNET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or equivalent

(ii) ₹ 30,000/- + HRA per month for those who do not fall under category (i)

Terms & Conditions: 
• The position is purely temporary and will be renewed each year, subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum period of three years. The position is co-terminus with the project. 
• Only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the in-person interview. 
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
