NITD Molecular Diagnostics Project Opening

Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the following post to work in an ANRF PM Early Career Research Grant project in the Department of Chemical Engineering, NIT Durgapur. 

Name of the Project: Design of a Two-Dimensional (2D) Paper-Based CRISPR/CAS Integrated LAMP (Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification Reaction) Device for Point-of-Care Applications 

Principal Investigator (PI: Dr. Debayan Das, Assistant Professor, Chemical Engineering 

Post: Project Assistant (PA) 

Duration: 12 months (initially) and extendable based on performance and fund availability. Performance will be reviewed every six months. 

Essential Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biomedical Enginering or allied disciplines, M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, or allied disciplines with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks from a recognized Institute/University. 

Desirable Qualifications/Experience: "Familiarity with paper-based diagnostics, CRISPR-based assays, or molecular diagnostics " Hands-on skills in wet-lab work or fabrication techniques 

Fellowship: Date of Advt.: 26/09/2025 " NR 27,000/- per month (consolidated; no HRA) " Accommodation in hostel as per Institute norms
