Applications are invited suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Junior Research Fellow in the DBT funded Research Project entitled, "Genetic and Epigenetic drivers of chewing tobacco (Kaddipudi) habited woman oral cancer patients", in the Laboratory of Dr. Tessy Thomas Maliekal at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:

1. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.

2. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD,ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in (1) mammalian cell culture 2) FACS (3) Immunoflourescence (4) immunohistochemistry (5) PCR and 6) Molecular cloning

AGE

Below 28 years as on November 14th, 2025. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.

EMOLUMENT

₹ 37,000/- + 18% HRA per month.

DURATION

For period up to 16/09/2028 or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier) and extendable based on the performance evaluation.

SELECTION PROCESS

1. Applications should be submitted online.
2. Candidates who are currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channel.
3. Last date for receiving completed applications is November 14, 2025.
4. If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate applications should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.

Applications which are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.

No TA/ DA will be given for appearing in the interview.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be short listed for the online selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
