Special Internship Drive for SC/ST Candidates Pursuing Any Undergraduate and
Post Graduate Courses

The Bhim Rao Ambedkar Centre for Community Empowerment (BRACE) at the Institute
of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), is dedicated to advancing
societal well-being through targeted initiatives in three primary areas—Science
Awareness and Training, Science & Technology Interventions, and Rural
Entrepreneurship Development—specifically designed for underprivileged groups, with
a focus on Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Scheduled Caste (SC) communities. The Centre
aspires to become a national and international center of excellence in cutting edge
physical and life sciences research, cultivating scientifically advanced human resources
to further societal development. BRACE is committed to leveraging the North-East
region’s natural resources and developing technologies to support sustainable
socio-economic progress. Its objectives include raising regional science and technology
awareness through community outreach and inspiring young talent to pursue careers in
scientific research.
The Institute invites applications against the available vacancies (2025-2026) for short
term internship (2 months) for SC/ST candidates in the following areas:

Eligibility criteria
Candidates currently pursuing undergraduate or
postgraduate studies in any branches of Life
Sciences
Application Procedure: Interested candidate should apply online in the institute
website (www.iasst.gov.in) within 15 days from the date of publication of the
advertisement. Incomplete applications and those received after the closing date will not
be entertained. Candidates should submit a No Objection Certificate from the parent
institute during online application submission. Those who are unable to submit NOC
during application process should upload a self-declaration certificate. NOC submission
is compulsory before joining the internship/dissertation/training at BRACE under IASST.
Selection Procedure: Only candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or
Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities are eligible to apply. Applications will be shortlisted
based on academic merit (Last final exam marks).The list of selected candidates will be
published on the IASST website, and all decisions of the Admission Committee are final
and binding; no further correspondence will be entertained.
Internship fee: Free
Candidates selected for internship will not be charged any fee.
Accommodation: Accommodation in institute’s BRACE dormitory is subject to its
availability during joining date. This programme is exclusively for SC/ST communities.
The internship/training programme will start from December 2025.
IASST’S Right: If suitable candidates are not found in any discipline, IASST reserves
the right not to fill up its position for the session.
