Applications are invited from deserved and suitable candidates for the following posts under the project
entitled “Biotechnological interventions for revitalizing sustainable large Cardamom (Amomum subulatum
Roxb.) cultivation” funded by DBT, Govt. of India at BRIC-IBSD, Sikkim Centre. The objectives of the project
are as follows:
I. Collection and screening of large cardamom germplasm collection for agronomically relevant traits such
as disease resistance.
II. Development of quality planting material.
III. Characterization of viral and fungal pathogens of large cardamom, including genome sequencing of viral
and fungal pathogens.
IV. Development of reference genome of large cardamom and identification of markers potentially linked to
resistance loci using resequencing of large cardamom cultivars and GWAS.
