Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up of One (0)1 post of Project
Scientists-B on a direct recruitment basis in the Agharkar Research Institute, Pune, as
per details given below:-
i. NAME OF POST : Project Scientist- ‘B’
ii. SCALE OF PAY : Level-10 in the pay matrix Rs. 56100-177500 (Pre-revised
Rs.15600-39100 plus Grade Pay Rs.5400/-)
iii. TOTAL NO. OF VACANCIES : One (01) ST
iv. NATURE OF POST : Temporary on Project mode and Co-terminus with the ICAR
All India Coordinated Soybean Improvement
v. EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
Master’s degree with specialisation in Genetics & Plant Breeding in Agriculture or equivalent
qualification from a recognised university.
Desirable:
(i) PhD in any of the above subjects.
(ii) Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working under the ICAR’s AICRP
Schemes/Projects of Field crops like Soybean/ Legumes, etc.
(iii) 5 Years research experience in Plant Breeding work (both field and research laboratory) on
crops like soybean/legumes/field crops, etc., as evidenced by varietal development and release,
genetic stock development and registration.
