VACANCY NOTICE JRF/SRF POSITION AVAILABLE 

One Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Position is available in the Microbial Engineering group, in the lab of Dr. Shams Yazdani. The position is available for one year with annual extensions based on the availability of funds and the candidate’s performance in achieving objectives. Please note that this is a temporary position whose duration is only for the tenure of the approved project. The salary will be as per DST norms, based on qualification and experience. 

Job description: The selected candidate will be performing recombinant fungal fermentation, media optimization, enzyme assay development, downstream processing, SOP/batch record sheet preparation. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing detailed technical reports summarizing the results and for the timely submission of these reports. 

Qualifications: M.Sc/M.Tech in Life Sciences or another related field with courses in fermentation technology/bioprocess technology. For SRF, two years of research experience after master's degree. 

Desirable qualifications: Experience in handling fermentors/bioreactors and process development is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified NET/GATE.
