Applications are invited for the one contractual position of Research Associate-I/II for the following time-bound sponsored project as per the details given below: 

Genome to Vaccine: Establishing a Immunological Database for India specific therapeutics and prevention” funded by DBT Tenable till- 08.06.2028 

Research Associate-I/II 

Age Limit: 35 Years

Educational Qualifications: PhD in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Systems Biology Biophysics or any closely related interdisciplinary area involving computation in Life sciences. Two year’s experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services 

Job description: The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of a large-scale computational platforms and database in immunology. 

The responsibilities will include development of scientific software modules for data processing, integration, analysis, and visualization; implementation of backend services and APIs using Python; and development of web-based interfaces for database access and user interaction. 

Desirable Skills & Experience: 

• Demonstrated experience in scientific software development in academic, industrial R&D, or national research laboratories. 
• Strong programming expertise in Python; familiarity with Node.js or similar backend technologies is desirable. 
• Experience in web application development using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, and modern frontend libraries. 
• Working knowledge of Flask, Django, or similar web frameworks. • Strong command of Linux system administration, deployment, and server-side operations. 
• Experience in handling large-scale biological datasets, including sequence, structure, and omics data. 
• Exposure to AI/ML-ready data pipelines, data preprocessing, and model integration is desirable. 
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, version control (Git), and collaborative development workflows. 
• Prior experience with bioinformatics resources, structural biology data, immunology databases, or genomics platforms will be a significant advantage. 
• Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and interdisciplinary communication skills. 

Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute rules, depending upon qualification & experience, as per DST OM dated 26.06.2023: Rs. 58,000/- to Rs. 61,000/- per month plus 27% HRA
