The National Facility for Coastal and Marine Research (NFCMR), Centre for Ocean Research, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Spinco Biotech Pvt. Ltd. and Toshvin Analytical Pvt. Ltd., is organizing an Advanced Training Workshop on “Marine Pollution Analysis (GC-MS/MS & LC-MS/MS)” from 24–28 March 2026.
This training program will provide both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in advanced analytical techniques used for marine pollutant detection and quantification. Key topics include:
• Qualitative analysis of PAHs and PCBs using GC-MS/MS
• Quantitative analysis of Bisphenols using LC-MS/MS
• Marine sample extraction and preparation techniques
• Instrument tuning, calibration, and method development
• Product ion scan and MRM method development
• Result analysis and data interpretation
• Industry visit to Spinco Biotech, Chennai
The program is open to research scholars, postgraduate students, faculty members, post-doctoral fellows, and industry professionals interested in marine pollution monitoring and analytical instrumentation.
