Recruitment of two Project Assistant-I (PA-I) and one Clinical Samples Collector (CSC) at Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Kolkata in DBT funded Ramalingaswami Fellowship Project on early diagnosis marker in gastric cancer (BT/RLF/Re-entry/38/2022)
Description:
The project aims to develop non-invasive and robust exosomal RNA and protein signatures as biomarkers for early diagnosis and therapeutic prediction in gastrointestinal cancers.
Selected Project Assistant will gain exposure to advanced research techniques, including Molecular biology, Cell culture, Next-generation sequencing, Proteomics, Bioinformatics analysis (for PA-I). Clinical Samples Collector will be involved in: Clinical sample handling, Patient interaction, questionnaire, and consent procedures, Data entry and record maintenance

Dr. Souvik Ghatak, Associate Professor and Ramalingaswami Fellow, Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University, Kolkata.
Positions: Two
(1) Project Assistant – (2 No.)
Minimum Qualification:
Essential: M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.E. in any branch of Biological Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology with 60% marks or equivalent grade from UGC-recognized University.
Desirable: Experience in Cell culture, Cancer genomics, Biomarker research, Molecular Biology, Basic bioinformatics analysis etc.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 35 years on the last date of application.
Stipend and other allowances: Rs. 10,000 per month, consolidated.
(2) Clinical Sample Collector – (1 No.)
Minimum Qualification:
Essential: Higher Secondary (10+2) pass in Science or related disciplines from CBSE/ICSE/State Board.
Desirable: Knowledge of clinical sample handling; Familiarity with patient questionnaires and consent procedures; Basic data entry skills (MS Excel).
Additional Requirement: Willingness to travel to hospitals across Kolkata, North & South 24 Parganas, Howrah, and Hooghly using local transport or personal vehicle (bike/scooter preferred), Travel Allowance (TA) will be provided as per project norms.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 30 years on the last date of application.
Stipend and other allowances: Rs. 8,000 per month, consolidated.
Fellowship Duration:
The positions are purely temporary and initially offered for one year, extendable annually based on performance and recommendation of the Principal Investigator, up to a maximum of two years or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

No TA/ DA will be provided for attending the interview.
