The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal invites applications from
eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work under
ANRF-ARG sponsored project titled “Targeting autophagy fueled oral cancer metabolome to
prevent host cachexia” in the Department of Biotechnology, Manipal School of Life Sciences,
Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, Karnataka, India.
Eligibility: M.Sc./M.Tech/First class Engineering Graduate degree of 4 years in any field of
Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Biomedical Engineering or allied field.
❖ Prior experience in cancer biology, cell culture and molecular biology will be preferred.
❖ Candidate with UGC-CSIR/NET/GATE/ DBT-BET qualification will be preferred.
Remuneration: Rs 37,000 per month + HRA 10% for 1st, 2nd year and Rs. 40,700/ per
month +HRA 10% for 3rd year as per the ANRF norms and institutional guidelines. Based on
performance, the candidate may be registered for a PhD position.
Duration of the project: 3 Years
