Advertisement for Project Assistant position in CMRG (01/RBA/CMRG/2026 dt. 17/03/2026)
Applications are invited for a Project Assistant (PA) position available in the Department of Genetic Engineering, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai to work in the Chief Ministers’ Research Grant (CMRG), Tamil Nadu sponsored Research Project (Ref: No: CMRG/eOffice E671131/176 dt. 13.02.2026).
1. Project Title : Developing and scaling up bioprocesses for producing sustainable biopolymers via bio-based production of cis,cis-muconic acid using recombinant E. coli
2. Position : Project Assistant (01)
3. Duration : Three years
4. Fellowship : Rs. 25,000/month for three years (Consolidated)
5. Qualification : M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry & M.Tech in Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks
6. Age Limit : 28 years
7. Desirable : Experience in microbial fermentations using fermenter.

Applicants should note that the position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project which is for 36 months.
