Applications are invited from eligible candidates for a contractual position of Senior Research Fellow
(SRF) (One post), purely on temporary basis, at ICAR-Indian Institute of Millets Research, Rajendranagar,
Hyderabad-500030, Telangana. The eligibility criteria and terms & conditions prescribed for the purpose are as
under:-
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc (Ag). in Genetics & Plant Breeding/Genetics & Cytogenetics/ Agrl. Botany OR M.Sc. in Botany / Genetics / Plant Sciences With 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent OGPA Candidates having PG degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET qualification (Candidates may ensure their eligibility as per ICAR memorandum F. No. Ag.Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dated 30th July 2019 before applying)
Desirable Qualifications: Research experience with sorghum/millets crop; design, layout and handling of field experiments, emasculation and crossing techniques, field evaluation, data recording and analysis using statistical softwares. Experience in biochemical nutrient analysis and handling of sophisticated high-end lab equipments like AAS, XRF, ICP-MS, etc.
Terms & Conditions
1. The above posts are purely temporary and on contractual basis till expiry of the project.
2. The age limit of above position is up to 35 years for men and 40 years for women. The relaxation in upper age
limit is permissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.
3. The eligible candidates are requested to send their duly-filled in bio-data in the enclosed application format
'Annexure-1' and 'Annexure - II', along with self-attested scanned copies as single file (PDF/JPEG) of the
relevant documents by e-mail to “aaoest@millets.res.in & crpbsorghum@gmail.com” on or before 26th May
2026. Incomplete application and/or without proper certificates will be summarily rejected. Short-listed
candidates will be intimated via email and called for interview.
4. Interview date & time to the eligible candidates will be intimated at a later date.
5. At the time of interview, a set of attested copies of requisite mark-sheet, certificates and supporting documents
should be presented along with application form.
6. Candidates have to produce all the original certificates at the time of interview for verifications.
7. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
8. The decision of the Director, IIMR is final and binding in all respects.
9. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment/absorption in IIMR or funding
agency at the end of the project.
10. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
