Applications are invited from eligible and motivated candidates for TWO (02) positions of Junior Research Fellow
(JRF) in a research project funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, under the
supervision of Dr. Prashant Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, Institute of Science, Banaras
Hindu University, Varanasi.
Project Title Integrating Phylogenomics and Metabolomics: A Polyphasic Approach to Heterocytous
Cyanobacterial Systematics and Functional Characterization
Project Description This project aims to resolve the taxonomy and evolutionary relationships of heterocytous
cyanobacteria through an integrated polyphasic approach combining molecular phylogeny,
phylogenomics, morphology, and metabolomics.
