BRIC-Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of
Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following positions
under the DBT project titled “Uncovering the functional significance of novel genetic variations in multi-ancestry Indian
populations through integrative genomics and proteomic analysis (Project no: BT/PR48421/MED/12/1043/2023)”.

Remuneration 31,000/- per month + 20% HRA
Eligibility criteria
Essential qualifications
Candidates having M.Sc. / M. Tech / M. Pharm. / M.V.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or
allied subjects (Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Virology / Microbiology, etc.) with a minimum of 55%
aggregate marks (relaxation will be given as per GOI guideline).
Some national level exam qualification (NET, GATE) is must. In case of non-NET, GATE qualified candidates
found suitable for the position the salary will be 28000/- + 20% HRA
Desirable
Position 1: Experience in wet lab like western blotting, QPCR, cell culture and molecular biology will be
given preference.
Position 2: Experience in coding, database development, website front end development and NGS data
analysis (RNAseq, Single cell data) will be given preference.

Upper age limit 30 years
Remuneration 20,000/- per month + 20% HRA
Eligibility criteria
Essential qualifications
12th in Science + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/Engineering), BSc with experience in sample collection, metadata
entry in the computer.
Desirable Experience in collecting and handling patient tissue samples, collecting and managing patient metadata.
Knowledge of tissue sectioning and immunohistochemistry will be an added advantage.

Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by a interview process.

All the positions are purely temporary and coterminous with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The
decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in
this regard.
