Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (1) in ANRF (SERB) Funded Project entitled: “Molecular mechanism of adaptation of dormant Tuberculosis (TB) in Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs): A perspective of neo-therapeutic strategy that shortens therapeutic length”.

The selected candidates will be appointed purely on temporary basis till the duration of the project i.e.22.01.2027

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential: Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Zoology/ Animal Biology and related subjects with strong academic record.

Desirable: The student with a biology background should have an experience in mammalian cell culture, bacterial culture, BSL3, DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, Western Blotting, Spectroscopy, and Fluorescence Microscopy.Preference will be given to candidates, on a case-by-case basis, having first-hand experience in handling and culturing of virulent strains of M.tb.

Salary: As per the norms of the University and funding agency.

Tenure: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.The selected candidate will be appointed on a temporary basis till the end of the SERB project tenure. The assessment will be based on satisfactory performance by the Principal Investigator.

Applications are invited for a post of Research Associate-I in BIRAC funded Project entitled: "Optimization and validation of a novel technology for recombinant protein production for research and diagnostics. (Ref. No.: BT/SBIRI2657/53/23)" at School of Biotechnology, JNU. The selected candidate will be appointed purely on temporary basis with the initial appointment of three months that may be extended based on the performance and availability of funds.
Position: Advertisement for Research Associate-I (1)

Essential Qualifications: Candidate must have PhD degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Zoology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry.

Desirable: Strong theoretical and/or research background on cell signaling, animal cell culture, transfection and cytokine/protein bioassay with at least one research publication. Consistently good academic record would be a plus.

Salary: Research Associate-I @ 58,000/pm + 30% HRA or as per DBT/BIRAC rules and guidelines for Research Associate - I

Appointment will be purely on temporary basis may be extended based on the performance and availability of funds. The eligible candidates may further be shortlisted based on qualifications/experience depending on the number of applications received. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email about the interview date and time.
