One Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position is available in DBT sponsored project (BT/PR45561/AGIII/103/1386/2023) on: "Deciphering Inositol polyphosphate roles as crosstalk modulators of (a)biotic stress adaptation and biotechnological application of underlying signaling routes to improve defense response and nutritional uptake in plants”.

Qualifications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

Essential: M.Sc. (First Division) in Plant Biotechnology or related areas. The candidate must be CSIR-NET qualified and must have working experience in growth and maintaining plants in growth chamber, PCR, gene cloning, recombinant protein expression and purification techniques.

Desirable: This is a collaborative project. The majority of the experiments will be performed at the Regional Center for Biotechnology, Faridabad, and some experiments performed at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. This is a mandatory criterion which the candidate must comply.  This project also requires rigorous work on bacterial culturing and making transgenic plants. Preference will be given to candidates with interest in working on plants and having excellent first-hand experience in maintaining plants under growth chambers, infiltrations and fluorescence imaging techniques.

Fellowship: Rs. 37,000 + (HRA, as per rules)

Tenure: The selected candidate will be appointed contingent upon the release of funds by the DBT and purely temporary basis till his/her services are continued to be approved by the Principal Investigator or till validity of the project (July 2027), whichever is earliest.  Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
