Advertisement for Raja Jwala Prasad Postdoctoral Fellow
In reference to letter No. SRICC/IoE/RJP-PDF/2026-27/3298 dated 19/08/2026 from SRICC-BHU,
applications are invited for one post of "Raja Jwala Prasad Post-Doctoral Fellowship (RJP-PDF)’’ with a
salary/stipend of Rs. 60,000/-pm and House Rent Allowance (HRA) of Rs. 10,000/ pm, sanctioned under
Institution of Eminence (loE) Scheme of BHU for the duration of 12 months (from date of joining). In addition, a
contingency amount of Rs. 50,000/- per annum will be provided. Fellows will also have access to comprehensive
benefits, including health services, library and access to other resources, as per BHU rules.
The position is purely
temporary.
Essential qualification: PhD in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Zoology/Microbiology/Cellular & Molecular
Biology/Life Science from Indian universities/Institutes with NIRF ranking of up to 20 or those who have done
Ph.D. from abroad with a strong experience in cellular & molecular biology techniques, microbiology and
biochemistry. The candidate must have excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Applicants must have
original research publications (at least 2 papers in Q1 or Q2 Journals or SCOPUS/Web of Science listed
Journal) essentially in support of their specialization.
Desirable Qualifications: Candidates with research experience in cellular & molecular biology techniques
(microscopy, cloning, PCR, western blots etc), microbiology and biochemistry will be preferred.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 45 years (5 years’ relaxation for SC/ST/Female/Physically handicapped
candidates). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
