Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Project Research Scientist-III (NonMedical) under the following research project funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research
(ICMR).
Title: Analyzing air pollution and climate change effects on respiratory disease during microbial
infection and developing multi-level intervention strategies.
Name of the Post: Project Research Scientist-III, Department of Biological Sciences
Salary: Rs. 78,000/- per month + 20% HRA (Rs. 13,400) = Rs. 93,600/-
Duration: One year (extendable further based on performance and continuation of funding).
Essential Qualification: Post-Graduation degree, including the integrated PG degree, in any branch of
Life Sciences from a recognized university with at least three (5) years of post-qualification experience
in RNA Biology (Life Sciences Research) in a recognized lab OR
Ph.D. with at least (2) years postqualification experience in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university OR
for
Biotechnology Engineering - First Class Graduate degree of Four Years with at least (5) years of postgraduation experience.
Desirable Qualification: Candidates with prior research experience in Bioinformatics, RNA
sequencing data analysis, Mammalian cell-culture techniques, Animal handling (transgenic mice),
biological particulate matter characterization, Molecular biology, clinical sample handling, Virus or
bacteria research, RT-PCR, and RNA biology, with a good publication record, will be given preference.
Age: Applicant should not have completed 45 years of age at the time of application.
