Applications are invited for the following project positions for an ANRF-funded project titled “Conferring broad-spectrum pathogen resistance in tomato by manipulating miR159 biogenesis and expression of its targets” The position is available immediately and up to June 2031, subject to renewal of the grant by the funding agency.
1. Senior Project Associate - one position
Essential qualifications: Should have M.Sc in any branch of Life Sciences and Ph.D. in the area of Plant Biology. Candidates who submitted their Ph.D. thesis but the degree has not been awarded may also apply, but the degree must be awarded before joining the project.
Desirable qualification: Ph.D. work in the area of plant molecular biology and plant-pathogen interaction will be preferred.
Salary: Rs 57,000.00 per month + HRA 30%.
2. Field Worker – one position
Essential qualification: Should pass B.Sc, from any branch of Life Sciences.
Desirable qualification: At least 6 months of experience working as a Project assistant/ field worker in a plant biology laboratory will be preferred.
Salary: Rs 24,000.00 per month + HRA 30%.
