Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (One post) in a DBT
funded project entitled, "Breeding elite Indian wheat with durable Fusarium Head Blight resistance using Marker-Assisted Backcrossing" (Project Code:24-895-TG-3776) purely on contractual
basis and co-terminus with project at ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Regional Station, Wellington.

Essential Qualification for JRF:
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course
(Master's degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Agricultural Biotechnology/Biotechnology/Botany) selected
through a process described through any one of
the following:
1.Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
2.The selection process through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such
as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MOE, ICAR,
ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
Desirable Qualification:
Experience in crop genetics and breeding, field
and laboratory experimentation, with a preference
for research experience in marker assisted selection, molecular biology, statistical analysis etc.
