Advertisement for the Post of Lab Assistant
Applications are invited on plain paper along with detailed CV for one post of Lab Assistant in
Department of Biotechnology- Govt of India sponsored project entitled “Development of High Quality
Gundruk Through Selective Fermentation by Indigenous Probiotic Cultures of Arunachal
Pradesh and Its Safety Assessment”, purely on temporary basis. The details of the post are as follows:
Name of the post: Lab Assistant
Tenure of the post: Appointment will be purely on temporary basis for a period of 2.5 years or co-terminus with
the project subject to the satisfactory performance of the candidate which will be reviewed every six months.
Salary: Rs 21,800/- per month (As per norms of funding agency)
Essential Qualifications: Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree (with minimum 55% marks) in
Microbiology or Life Sciences (Should have zoology/ botany as subjects).
Preference will be give given to
candidates having post-graduation in life sciences/microbiology.
Job description: Preparation of medium, washing of glassware, sterilization of material, isolation and
maintenance of microorganisms and other microbiological work assigned by PI. The candidate may have to
travel Arunachal Pradesh multiple times to collect the samples. The candidate may have to devote time in lab
beyond office hours to complete the task.
Desirable Qualification: Experience of handling of microorganisms in microbiology laboratory.
Age Limit: As per DBT/GOI rules

● No T.A/D.A or any other allowances will be paid for attending the interview.
