Applications are invited in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) for the temporary positions of one (01) Research Associate in
the DBT sponsored Research Project entitled “Enhancing Breeding and Reproductive Success in Monopterus cuchia”,
under the Principal Investigator Dr. Aditya Kumar, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University,
Napaam, Tezpur – 784028, Assam.
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences or any other relevant subject
area. The Ph.D. degree must have been awarded.
Desirable: Prior experience/knowledge in computational biology, Linux, Python, R, and genomics.
Emoluments: ₹58,000 (Rupees fifty eight thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month.
Age limit: The candidate shall not be more than 40 years of age on the last date of receipt of application. Upper age limit may
be relaxed as per Government of India rules.
Duration: The appointment will initially be for a period of six (06) months or until further order, whichever is earlier and may
be extended further depending upon satisfactory performance of the incumbent and co-terminus with the project.

candidates will be required to appear in person before the Selection Committee along with all original and self-attested
photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate (if
any), certificate of NET/GATE or similar examination qualifications (if applicable), other relevant testimonials/certificates, a
recent signed copy of the Curriculum Vitae (CV) and duly filled in application form prescribed in Annexure-I. Original
documents of the candidates will be verified by the selection committee at the time of the interview.
N.B.
1. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
2. Those in employment must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer.
3. No online interview will be conducted.
4. Mere fulfilment of the minimum qualifications will not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview.
5. The decision of the Selection Committee regarding the selection of candidate(s) will be final.
