Applications are invited for the following purely temporary posts in the UGC funded Project entitled "Design & Synthesis of a Library of Bisbenzimidazoles and their Biological Evaluation as an Antibacterial agent with Special relevance to E. coli. Topoisomerase I Inhibition".

1. Project Fellow (One) Rs.14000/- + 30% HRA

Essential Qualification

•Master's degree in Chemistry/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biophysics/ with strong academic record.
• NET/ GATE qualified will be preferred.

Desirable Qualification

• The project involves a synthesis of a number of Chiral Benzimidazole, using coupling chemistry and special chiral catalyst. The candidate with masters in Chemical Sciences discipline having an experience of one year on synthetic chemistry, organic chemistry, development of novel methodology to synthesize benzimidazoles will preferred.

• The project involves chemistry and biology both work. Student with Masters in any of Chemical Sciences or Biology Sciences discipline will be eligible for position in the project. The student with Biology background should have an experience in protein expression, Purification, cloning, DNA isolation, Agarose gel running, SDS gel running, PCR, DNA sequencing, Western Blotting, Confocal Microscopy, Spectroscopy, Fluorescence Microscopy.

The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis, initially for a period of one year or till his/her services are required by the Project Director or till the validity of the project, whichever is earliest.
