Highly motivated individuals with good academic credentials and having cleared fellowship exam (CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT) with keen desire to pursue research in frontier areas of Modern Biology leading to a Ph.D. degree at NIRRH, are invited to preregister for walk-in-interview on 24th November 2015.
The Institute conducts research in areas covering various aspects of Reproductive Physiology and Infertility, Infectious Diseases, Cancer and Stem Cell Biology. The Institute is equipped with state-of-art technologies and also an animal house. The Institute is affiliated to University of Mumbai, for the award of Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Life Science, Applied Biology and Biotechnology.
WHO CAN APPLY
Candidates having Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech./M.Pharm) from reputed university (securing not less than 60% marks for general category candidates and not less than 55% for SC/ST/PWD (Person with Disability) candidates in all major examinations from higher secondary (10 + 2) onwards or equivalent in CGPA) in any branch of Biological Sciences and valid fellowship such as CSIR-UGC (NET) JRF/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF (Minimum validity of fellowship should be till 31st March 2016).
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years (on the day of interview), relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per Govt. of India rules.
SELECTION PROCEDURE Selection will be based on the performance in a walk-in interview to be conducted at NIRRH on 24th Nov 2015. Candidates should report at the venue by 09.00 AM.
Candidates who wish to appear for the interview should pre-register online by filling the registration form (http://www.nirrh.res.in/phd_jrf/).
Online registration is open till 20th November 2015. While appearing for the interview the candidates have to bring a print of their registration form along with attested copies and originals of the relevant documents (Mark sheets and passing certificates of higher secondary examination i.e. 10+2 onwards, proof of date of birth, caste certificate and JRF award certificates).
No TA/DA will be paid at any stage of the selection process.
The decision of the Director/Admission Committee will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence will mount to disqualification. Candidates should note that non-fulfillment of the eligibility criterion will result in cancellation of candidature at any stage of admission process.
