The book “Pursuit of Biotechnology – Opportunities and Options”, publication of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, was launched on National Technology Day (11 May 2015) at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The book has been compiled by Dr. Manoj Singh Rohilla, Scientist –D, DBT, jointly edited by Dr. Suman Govil, Advisor, DBT and Dr. Purnima Sharma, Managing Director, BCIL and assisted by Ms. Shreya Malik, Assistant Manager, BCIL. The book was launched in the presence of Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, DST, Dr. Shailesh Nayak, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Dr. MO Garg, DG, CSIR, Dr. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, CMD, Biocon and Dr. VK Saraswat, Member, NITI Aayog.
This book extensively chronicles the academic and research achievements of the DBT supported universities/institutes which would provide valuable information to the students aspiring to pursue a career in biotechnology.
