Ph.D. studentship in Bioinformatics (2 positions)

Qualifications:

1) M.Sc. in Bioinformatics with experience in Next generation sequencing data analysis, using bioinformatics tools, databases, understanding of the underlying algorithms and creating algorithms.

2) Candidates must have secured JRF funding from CSIR-UGC, DBT, ICMR and DST-INSPIRE

Selected JRFs will be involved in ongoing collaborative research projects between IOB and other collaborating institutes. They will be trained in cutting edge technologies including wet lab training for confirmation of NGS single nucleotide variants at the DNA and RNA level in selected cases to participate in functional confirmation. Training will also be given on interpreting and curating NGS. Only candidates who can relocate to Bangalore (ITPL) by January 30, 2016 need to apply.
